Location pins are places worth remembering — a bench with a great view, a shop you want to come back to, the exact spot where something happened.

Creating a pin

  1. Tap + and choose Location Pin.
  2. Give the pin a title.
  3. Pick the location from the map or search for an address.
  4. Optionally add photos, notes, and a reminder.

Map thumbnail

The detail view shows a map thumbnail centred on the pin. Tap it to open the full map or hand off to the system Maps app for directions.

Place name vs. address

Binder prefers a point-of-interest name (like “Kyoto Imperial Palace”) over a street address when reverse-geocoding a dropped pin, so your pins read naturally instead of as coordinates.

Fields

  • Title
  • Location — latitude, longitude, and place name
  • Notes
  • Cover and gallery photos
  • Reminder

When to use a pin vs. a recommendation

  • Pin: a place you want to remember for yourself
  • Recommendation: a place (or thing) you want to rate and potentially share
