Several entry types can be pinned to a place — Events, Recommendations, and Location Pins. The location shows up as a map thumbnail in the detail view and is searchable by name.
Picking a location
In the entry’s edit form, tap the Location field:
- Search by address, place name, or business
- Drop a pin directly on the map
- Use your current location
Once set, the entry shows a map thumbnail with the pin.
Place names vs. addresses
When you drop a pin, Binder prefers a point-of-interest name (a park, museum, venue) over a street address for the place name field. This keeps entries readable — “Kyoto Imperial Palace” rather than a long address.
Opening in Maps
Tap the map thumbnail to open the system Maps app for directions or to see the place in a bigger context.
