Recommendations are your personal review archive. Rate a restaurant, a book, a film, a coffee shop — anything worth remembering for next time or worth telling a friend about.

Creating a recommendation

  1. Tap + and choose Recommendation.
  2. Add a name and category (e.g. Restaurant, Book, Film).
  3. Tap the stars to rate it.
  4. Optionally add a location, website, photos, and notes.

Half-star precision

Star ratings support half stars. On macOS, click and drag across the stars to set any value from half a star to five.

Fields

  • Name — what you’re rating
  • Category — restaurant, book, album, gadget, anything
  • Rating — 0 to 5 stars, half-star precision
  • Location — for places
  • Website — link to a book, venue, article
  • Cover and gallery photos
  • Notes — why you liked it, what to order, who to recommend it to

Reminders

Set a reminder to revisit a recommendation — e.g. “suggest this restaurant to Alex next week”.
